Mr. Dovey has been a successful communications executive for over 40 years. He has played a visionary role in the cable industry and been involved in starting several successful businesses. He has been with Meritage for 7 years. Mr. Dovey currently serves on the Board of Directors of Meritage portfolio companies Trillion Partners and Mobile Content Networks. He served as Chairman or CEO of Completel, a Meritage portfolio company from 1998 to 2001. Prior to founding Completel, he served as Deputy Chairman of IVS Cable International for 3 years, building the company until its successful sale in 1995 to KPN Cable. In 1987, he founded United Cable International to build and buy cable properties in the UK, and served as CEO of that company through its combination with the United Kingdom assets of US West, forming TeleWest.
